This is a much better update compared to the last one (1.5)
Overall, the UI is much better, you can actually write on your friends' walls, has a better picture viewer, and a few more features.
To download, just find the app in App World or go to http://www.blackberry.com/facebook

Added App World to the APPS page. Visit http://mobile.blackberry.com/ from your mobile browser. App World is basically an Application Store for your BlackBerry. So far, this is the best way I've found to get applications for your phone.

Added Google Mobile to the APPS page.
Visit http://m.google.com/ on your mobile browser to download.
Features Search by voice and search by My Location (allows you to search for nearby businesses).

Starting with the Curve 8520, RIM has started installing an optical trackpad on all new BlackBerry devices. The new technology should allow for easier browsing and scrolling. But for those of us who have older BlackBerry models, and plan to stick with them, we still face the issue of a trackball. Introduced in 2006 with the BlackBerry Pearl, the trackball made it onto every sub...

BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac hit the airwaves recently, and we’ve seen no shortage of reviews. The application is pretty straight forward, though it lacks a few features of the PC version. One is the ability to install unofficial OS upgrades. But, like all things Berry, someone has created a workaround. The following video shows you how to get around the problem of having...

So I did what most BlackBerry geeks would do: I pulled the battery...

Wow, did we ever get a dump truck full of BlackBerry news this week. This is the way it gets as a device release draws nearer. That goes doubly this time around, because we’re about to see the debuts of two devices: the Storm 2 and the Bold 9700. There’s plenty to be said about both.
So click on over here to hear the BBGeekcast (11 min, 38 sec)
And don’t forget to ...

Why can’t voicemail be like our status messages? When we leave a status update — whether on Twitter, Facebook, or an instant messaging client — we’re letting people know where we are, what we’re doing, and, presumably, if we’re available. It makes contacting someone a bit easier. For instance, if someone has an away message up on AIM, I know it’s probably not a good idea to mes...

There’s plenty of news this week about new BlackBerry devices, but to kick things off I want to highlight a story that seemed small at first, but grew as word spread throughout the week. T-Mobile has agreed to carry BlackBerry Mobile Voice Systems, a two-year-old platform that allows companies to reroute desk calls to a user’s BlackBerry. This ties in with T-Mobile’s ...
